This page is meant to be used along with your copy of Chapter 2: Pitch Manipulation Pedals. This playlist explores the difference between a pitch shifter and a harmonizer in the way they approach major and minor scales.
The following examples provide an excellent introduction to the sounds of various pitch-manipulation pedals. In these various examples, try to focus not only on the way in which pitches are added, but the qualities of the totality of each sound. Is the resulting sound pleasing? Is the end result of adding pitches more organic sounding in one example versus another? In one pedal versus another? To begin your pitch-manipulating pedal research with a broader goal than just adding pitches is valuable. Every facet and quality of the sound matters.
