Empress Fuzz

Empress Fuzz

$0.00

As with all of their pedals, this simple looking almost holmly pedal makes up for its lack of visual flash sonic quality. This creamy yet aggressive pedal gives you a wonderful lush fuzz tone with the benefit of having a low end that is not nearly as boomy as many other fuzz pedals.

Complexity: Simple

Complexity: Simple

Interface:  4/5

Has the standard four knob setup of many fuzz pedals: Gain, Output (volume), Treble, and Bass. The EQ knobs give the user simple and easily perceptible tonal manipulation.

Versatility: 3/5

While this pedal is not meant to do who whole array of things, it does everything along its fuzzy spectrum well. There is a little of bite and crunch that adds nicely to your sound at the lowest gain levels, and at the highest gain levels, your sound speaks though and is not obliterated by the distortion.

Tonal Reproduction: 4/5

This pedal is excellent at retaining your tonal integrity even at super high level of gain.

Live application: 4/5

A really great pedal for live fuzz application. All you need to do is find the eq setting that best fits your sound, and roll the gain up and back for more or less fuzz. The fuzz itself never takes away from what you are playing. It only adds a beautiful fuzzy layer around your sound.

  • All Analog Signal Path - no digitals in here!

  • Classic Fuzz - offers lots of gain with smooth, rich sustain.

  • Good Control - medium gain settings offer nice heavy chunk, without losing control.

  • Tight low end - not floppy like some other fuzzes out there.

  • Great Note Definition - Good for single notes and full chords.

  • EQ - Hi shelf and low shelf EQs let you tweak your sound.

  • Bass - Works great on bass!

  • True Bypass - The Empress Fuzz employs true bypass, so you can be sure that it's not affecting the signal when disengaged.

  • Small Size - The enclosure measures approximately 4.5" by 2.5" by 1.5", which is delightfully small when considering all the features packed into this unit.
