TC Electronic Triple Flashback

TC Electronic Triple Flashback

$0.00

TC Electronics has some great delay pedals in the Flashback series. While this one is truly fantastic, it is also a bit nutty. Giving you three delay pedals in one is crazy enough, but then giving you the ability to stack them all at the same time is simply insane. This pedal can get away from you if you are not careful! There is so much delight to be had with this pedal, especially when done so with reckless abandon. Don’t let all the insanity fool you however, this is a wonderful pedal.

Complexity: High

Interface:  3.5/5
Surprisingly, this pedal is not that hard to understand. There is so much in this pedal, but it is quite well laid out. It can, however, get a bit confusing when you are switching between delays 1, 2, and 3, while trying to remember which sound is which, then remembering to flip the toggle to the right delay so you can edit it. It can become a bit overwhelming and frustrating.

Versatility: 4/5
With a multitude of delay types and the unique ability to put the delays in series or in parallel, this not only a quite diverse pedal, but a unique one as well.

Tonal Reproduction: 4/5
Like all other TC pedals, this machine does service to your tone. You will be happy with this pedal’s sonic integrity.

Live application: 3.5/5
Like its big brother, the X4, this pedal suffers mightily from its size. On many boards, this would simply be too big. The midi, expression, and TonePrint options make this behemoth a pleasure to use live, especially when trying to make some beautifully layered, otherworldly sounds.
